In first grade we work on adding and subtracting. The beginning of the year we work on adding numbers 0-10, proceed to adding numbers 0-20, and then work on adding single digits to double digit numbers. We study two dimensional shapes and three dimensional shapes. We also work on solving story problems by generating addition and subtraction equations.
