Happy Birthday, Johnny Appleseed!

This week we celebrated Johnny Appleseed's birthday (September 26th) by reading the tale of Johnny Appleseed, reading about the life cycle of an apple, making a paper plate Apple, and making our own applesauce!

HUGS Assembly

We had our last First Grade HUGS Assembly for the year! I'm so proud of all the hard work my students have done this year! I love celebrating their successes!! 

First Grade Fun Day!

Buchanan's PTO brought Phil Baker to our school for our First Grade Fun Day! We had a great afternoon singing, dancing, and laughing with Phil Baker in the gym and enjoyed our snacks while we watched episodes of The Magic School Bus. 

A special shout out goes to Jessica Andersom and Kristen Jurgens for helping with the event with PTO!
